you've been shekel'd again /g/

Is there a reason why monitor manufacturers can't support both?

You'd need multiple scalers so the cost goes up. And there's not much demand. Plus Nvidia would probably not license their tech for such a monitor.

Tbh I'd gladly use a freesync monitor with nvidia. It doesn't cost extra.

There is no reason that Nvidia's GSync module couldnt support FreeSync other than they dont want to enable/support it.
They could easily allow AMD to extend the GSync module's firmware to support DP's Adaptive Sync standard, but they dont for competitive reasons.
And on the FreeSync side, Nvidia could again simply write drivers that allow their cards to take use of the DP Adaptive Sync standard that FreeSync uses, allowing their cards to make use of FreeSync monitor's adaptive refresh rate tech, but they dont, because they want to sell their dogshit scalars to OEMs.

see my above comment.

Nvidia won't let you though.
Are there any third party drivers for Nvidia cards that allow you to make use of Freesync?
>wanting any memesync tech
what benefits do these even bring? just buy a 144hz monitor if you want a smooth experience.
