Current Nvidia cards are D3D11 ASICs. GCN has always been more general-purpose, which is starting to rear its head.

I find it funny that "new API optimized with the possibility for async compute" seems to mean "AMD optimized" to people. "Nvidia optimized" has always meant doing excessive tessellation, GameWorks and shit like that.
