Any coders on /g/ that can point me to a good compiler/editer that is compatible with Java? Just started a college java basics class, and the curriculum uses jgrasp, but in my experience everything my school does is always ass backwards.

Eclipse. Or Microsoft Visual Studio, depending on what you prefer.
intellij and eclipse are the most popular

the free version of intellij has some nasty limitations I would use eclipse, it should be good enough for a class that uses jgrasp. What the fuck is jgrasp, never heard of it.

Thank me later when you can write and compile all of your code without some program doing all of the work for you.

If you have AMD Radeon card, Netbeans will fuck you up with "Parameter is incorrect" error.
