the psuedo-1060/480/1060 are not enough for 1080p gaming. they will be obsolete for 1080p within a year like the 960 and equivalent low end AMD cards were. if you want a card that will be relevant for years at 1080p you would need a 980ti or 1070.

It's enough if you don't mind turning texture quality way down on any new release. The new Deus Ex uses >6GB VRAM at 1080p with Ultra textures enabled. Even the High setting requires 4GB. You'd be dropping down to Medium for the cucked 1060.

That`s the entire point. Most games make little to no visual difference going from high - ultra. You`re better off tweaking settings manually than just clicking the preset because "muh ultra"

if you have two screens look at your gpu and cpu utilization. you should be able to tell how roughly how much your cpu is bottle necking your 480 and vice versa. run the benchmark ill get back to you with what i get (FX-8350 @ 4.6ghz and rx 480 @ 1305mhz)

The memory compression makes a huge difference, when I ran overwatch on my 7950 it was using around 2.5-2.7 gib of vram, my new rx 470 uses ~1 gib. It could also just be so much faster that it doesn't need to use as much.

i'll try turning that down but with my old 7800 i had them up pretty high and i was getting 60 frames sure it was fluctuating a little but at least it was trying with this its not even trying to reach even 40fps, and when i was playing dead by daylight i was only getting a steady 30 but i should get 60 frames easy with a 8gb rx480
