Ok, I've never posted on this board and I'm in a shit load of trouble right now. So I have this 4-5 year old laptop, been through hell and back. I put Arch Linux on it. Customized it to my liking, I was in love. Then I don't use it for a few months, now every other time I turn it on the bios goes to 1/1/12 and the time starts from 0, all the settings are also factory default. Along with this, most of my customized shit is gone. Wtf do I even do.

Go back to Ubuntu, kiddo.
Install Gentoo
Thats not how hard drives work anon.

I've been using Arch for 3 years. No Ubuntu for me. I just don't want to redo all the shit I worked for. I want to know my options before I redo everything.
can't unsee the arch fat man.
why did you rice without backing up your configs? Back it up to a private repo on github if you have to.

Ok, I wasn't too clear. While my computer was off for so long, there was an update and that fucked up the Yaourt and package-quary thing or something. My bios is rekt though and that's annoying everytime I turn it on and have to change everything back.

I have backups from like 2 years ago so my important files like music and videos are fine. My newer customization's are rekt though. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do other than redoing everything.
Replace CMOS battery.
Your config files are probably gone, this is why you keep notes and backups of /etc/.
