So I bought a MSI gaming laptop on Craigslist 6 months ago for $500 https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GE72-APACHE-264-17-3-Inch-Gaming/dp/B0141H0AI4
I liked it a lot but realized that in a year or two that I'll need to buy another laptop if I want to keep playing newer games. So I went on Craigslist and offered this guy my laptop for his gaming rig (he works at BestBuy and apparently builds gaming rigs for a hobby. All these parts came with their appropriate boxes and I personally believe most of these parts are from BestBuy where he most likely gets a huge discount since he is higher up in the Geeksquad part of Best Buy)
PC: NZXT phantom 240 case
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 GPU
AMD FX8350 black edition CPU
Asus Pro gaming aura motherboard
Corsair vengence 16gb ram
Corsair CX850M PSU
Corsair H100i v2 liquid cooler
LG DVD writer
Corsair K65 RGB keyboard
Logitech 720p webcam
Corsair raptor HS40 USB heaphones
2x ASUS 24in monitors VN247H-P
500gb Sandisk SSD
3TB WD Hard drive
1TB WD Hard drive
Do you guys think this was a fair trade? We both are pretty happy with the trade.
Here's the monitors
That's an unbelievable deal for a piece of shit gayming laptop. Something is wrong with the computer or that guy is just a fucking idiot.

I drove 3 hours to make the trade. He was a really nice guy though and lived in a nice neighborhood (much better than my piece of shit poverty apartment).
I'm not exactly computer hardware savy. I've never built a computer before but I've installed memory and a video card before. I'm hoping this rig lasts me awhile and I can actually upgrade it in the future and eventually build my own computer.
For anyone getting a gaming laptop I highly am against it unless you live in a dorm and go to college. I didn't realize how hot laptops can get while playing games. My laptop played Overwatch at 85-90c this computer plays Overwatch at 69-70c WITH Youtube opened on my 2nd monitor..

The monitors and graphics card alone are worth more than that laptop.
I hope you're not talking about CPU temps at 70 playing fucking OW. I hope you're not talking about GPU temps either because both should be at 50 max for OW.

Here's a screenshot I just took in-game. 70c is still kinda cool though right? Cause my laptop played on 85-90c..

Here "ARE" the monitors, jombo.
>>56462479
playing mid-game right now and it's sitting at 72-75c during team fights. I'm playing on ultra

Looks like the GPU temp which is still pretty high for a game as undemanding as Overwatch.

probably gpu temps. seem normal i guess if it's a reference 970.
i got a 8320 @ 4.4 with same cooler and highest temp i ever seen was 52c. idle is usually around 19-23c.
also got a evga 970 but custom fan profile and usually never goes over 66c.
maybe try a custom fan profile.

Thanks guys. If it matters some, my room is fucking HOT. It's literally 90 degrees outside and it's just around 80 degrees in my room. I turned the AC on yesterday and in a few days the apartment should cool down. I think this may be the reason why my temps are a bit higher than they should be.
Thank you all for the comments. I do feel like I got a good deal now and I can't wait to add to it and eventually build my own rig.
