That is a moot point though if you dont need 24/7 uptime, I have no problem turning my computer off and popping in a backup drive if a drive fails.

I just open chromium, press ctr+L and type the first 2 letters of the site I want to visit. If it is a commonly visited site, I can just press enter, less commonly visited some arrow down presses and enter. Way faster than for you, I don't have to use the mouse to hover over icons and aims and click. I'm not that good at fps maybe that's why I prefer keyboard shortcuts.
