Anyone know a good way to block websites from myself on my personal computer and phone?
I want to basically set in motion a password (that I don't know) protected process that basically permanently blocks me from visiting certain websites, barring a full reformat.

You can block certain websites and unlock them by using a password.

block them in the router settings. write down some random string of letters, set that as the router password, then bin the paper. reset the router using the reset button to undo.

You can do this easily by configuring your router. Change your DNS to OpenDNS, then make an account of that service and add a blacklist. As long as that computer is connected to your router, even if the user formats they won't be able to access the site.
