I had an Azulle Quantam windows 10 stick and it basically bit the dust in a fantastic and mysterious way within a couple of hours of using it.
Are mini pc's generally shit? I just want something I can file share to my downstairs TV.
Any recommendations for smart TV hookups?

i'm pretty sure nothing beats the mxQ for the price/performance and aesthetics.

I got a generic wintel mini PC and it's been working ok as a file server for awhile now.

I'm guessing that was the issue. It was untouched when it cut off and the LED indicated it was still booted, so I doubt it was a power issue. When I took it out of the TV and firmly grabbed it I could sense a fair amount of heat coming off of it, but not enough that I would think it would crash from it.
So idk. I was gentle with it and it worked great at first, then it just took a massive dump.

It's something similar to the mxQ, although I've never had a problem with my mxQ, and it either comes rooted or you can easily download a rooted rom, which takes literally <5min to install.

Cheapest (most probably) legit one I could find in 2 mins.

Well...I have an old mATX that just needs RAM, which I think I could get for free...so I'm probably just gonna do that. It's ugly as fuck though, pic related

When using the mxQ with Kodi, I can file share with a windows pc? Will it play videos typically playable on windows? I torrent from a russian private tracker and have to change audio settings, can that be done on it?
