Of course FreeBSD is perfect for everyday usage.
Yes, I have a Mac :^)

Yeah I just spent 36 hours trying to make FreeBSD coexist with Windows last week. I tried pretty much everything, installing them on different drives, dual booting from the same drive, installing with just one drive plugged and then choosing what to boot from BIOS... even on that last case the installer managed to somehow fuck up the installation and make the disc unbootable.
I verified the hashes before creating the installation media, and even installed BSD by itself as a test; it worked great and when I added a DE it worked great and everything was perfect. It's just that somehow it's pretty much impossible to make it coexist with Windows (of course I installed Windows first every time). Bottom line is that they should include one of those thingies all Linuxes have that detect other bootable stuff and build a GRUB automatically, because BSD not even once asked me where to place the loader. Anyway, I ended up installing Debian GNU/kFreeBSD and it worked perfect on the first try. How is it possible that the Debian people create a better FreeBSD installer than the FreeBSD people themselves? Retarded.

FreeBSD asks you where to place the system. You just don't know what you are doing. Try arch first to get an idea of how to set up a UNIX like system.
Also, all bsds suck. They are a worse meme than Gentoo.

Of course it does. It just doesn't ask you where to place the loader.

Tutorial for you:
First install Windows,
Next install FreeBSD,
After successful installation Freebsd asks you if you want to make further changes to the system (aka chroot), agree and enter command: "boot0cfg -B ada0" and then reboot.
FreeBSD automatically detects Windows a and gives you the option to choose.

Arch is the worst /g/ meme
Switch to Linux already
