What are some good 1080p monitors that aren't too expensive?
>>56429281
Gee i wonder, it there was something like a search engine, that would guide me to the most relative shopping online places, so i could do my own research, instead of posting on /g/ about it.
Man that'd be great!

Your choice is 1080p IPS and 1080p 75hz TN with display port
How many monitors are you going to end up with?
>>56429281
BenQ GW2470H

That one looks nice. What is so great about VA over IPS? Also I would plan to get work done on it and some gaming (I'm getting a monitor (or two) when I build my PC. How would it be for gaming?
>>56429552
One or two monitors.

>What is so great about VA over IPS?
Blacks and contrast are better than IPS and TN, e.g. no IPS glow or backlight bleeding
>gaming
Should be fine if you can handle not getting a 120Hz meme monitor
>>56429713
Sounds pretty perfect then. Thanks. Never heard of that monitor before. Thanks! :)

>One or two monitors.
Just go for 3 of these, they're pretty nice, it is TN, but the TN is closer to VA than older TN
$119 for 1080p 75hz TN with free-sync

The display port is going to be really nice
>>56429735
I'll consider that too, thanks! :)
>>56429755
Also if that BenQ monitor is $200 that's retarded for a 1080p display
this one's 1080p IPS and should have VESA capability for around $100

It's VA though, isn't that more expensive? Also thanks for the other suggestion, bookmarked that too! :)
As long as it is 144hz, it's a smart choice.
Best TN panel (true 8bit) 144hz 1080p is ASUS MG248Q at the moment.
>>56429281
Probably the best and cheapest are the used Dell monitors being sold on Ebay by wholesalers.
>>56429850
Differences between VA and IPS isn't much, it's not worth $200 in the slightest
>1080p
>>56429281
why would you indicate progressive scan on a computer monitor resolution?
>>56430049
Because I don't really want an interlaced scan monitor.
>2016
>Not buying an ultrawide
>>56430143
I have one saved for later on my amazon, still considering going that route or going the traditional route.

If you're going to buy one anyway, why wait? It'll be years before the panels are going to be (OLED and) HDR and a somewhat reasonable price.
It's a pretty good time to buy a monitor anyway, not a lot of new good tech coming out in the near future and panels are cheaper than ever.

I plan on purchasing it when I order parts to build the PC.

I got these dells from a recycler for $20 each
Hi Kevin, made any upgrades to your cool pay calculator yet?
>>56430492
I recompiled it in GCC 6.2
>>56430455
>don't play fps games
>literally no reason to own a 144hz monitor anymore

I really want to filter you but the constant obvious bait posts are too good to ignore
