Any Excel bros in /g/?
I need to highlight (or get boolean value) for cells that have more than 4 # characters.
So far I haven't found any info on it.
Does /g/ know the formula?
Also, how many of you use excel or other office products for work?
I'd use IF and LEN in custom conditional formatting.
Use conditional formatting with the rule =LEN(J5)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(J5,"#",""))>4
I mostly use Google Spreadsheets at work.
I only use Excel for Pivot tables and looking at csv's these days.

Here's what I'm working with,
Every cell has something like this in it:
##Description##
And then the actual text description.
In this descriptions, some may have a # like #1 for instance.
I need to find every cell that has more #'s than just the ones in ##description##
That's why I don't think Len will work.

I will try this and let you know.
