I've seen people say how atrocious oneplus support is, but I actually had a surprisingly good experience with them in a way.

I didn't buy my phone directly from them, but I ended up ordering a case from them. I waited for the package to arrive, but it never did. I decided I'd wait until I was back to my apartment before I'd complain to them (the post here has redirected some of my mail to my apartment if it was sent to a previous address of mine, so I wanted to make sure this wasn't the case). After making sure it wasn't there either, I was ready to complain to them, but then I noticed that I had just received an email from them, which said that they had refunded my order.

I imagine the package ended up going back to them, either because the people delivering it fucked up somehow or because oneplus fucked up the delivery address. Either way, I was refunded without even needing to contact them.

Would be nicer to actually have my case though.

Finally dumped my iPhone 5S and jumped to a 5.5'' android (Z5 Premium).

I haven't had the phone long enough for a real review, but I love it so far. Sure it's harder to use one handed, but the screen is worlds better, the speakers are better for media, and Android seems more capable to get it doing what I want. Its a small thing, but being able to translate text in - app without having to switch to Google translate is great, for example.

I want an x compact. Shame that they're literally no phones outside of the popular ones that sort Sprint (ringplus).

(I think) Blackberry has a lot fewer opportunities for spyware, compared to Android which is full of data collecting services and programs that Google put there.

Android smartphones generally don't have good battery life (6-7hrs usually), blackberries on the other hand have a much more efficient push system so tend to last longer, at least in my experience. Also the system is lighter on rescources (BBOS).

However there are many more cool things you can do with an android phone - 3rd party apps etc.

Anyone else finding this new multi window feature a bit purposeless? I can see it being useful for certain things, like copying text between windows, but not for anything that involves a chat or an app that doesn't work in the background. If I want to chat on Steam while I watch YouTube I can, but the keyboard pushes the windows up and YouTube completely out of view. It's only a slight faster than switching windows.

It also has very limited support so far and I'm already tired of seeing the "app may not work"warning.

I am in need of some advice here.
I got myself a redmi note 3 (snapdragon) a while back, and while i like the phone, some of the OS "features" i could do without (bloat, bad taskmanager, goddamit stop closing my background apps MIUI, ect.).
So I am thinking about changing to a different ROM. The only experience i have was from when i flashed CM onto my first smartphone, which then had some shitty windows OS installed (back when CM was the only real alternative, as far as I could tell).
Any anon here with some experience which ROMs fit this phone well? I would default to CM again, since its the only custom ROM I used so far.

pentile isn't a display technology, it's a subpixel matrix scheme used in amoled displays. Broke my S2 a month back (Peace be upon it) had it since early summer 2011, loved it.
Still used jellybean 2.XXX. Only updated it twice since i think updates usually makes things worse (skype is very guilty of this).
Would continue to use it if I had not broken the power button while switching screens.
