help me out /g,
im running windows 8.1 and since my last boot, 90% of my startup programs went missing including my antivirus and didnt start with windows for no apparent reason. they are still in the programs folder though.
So i ran Autoruns and it seems that most of the .exes are placed under the Services registry instead of Start Up.
Any way to revert/move them to original (startup) registry?

Create a shortcut for the program you want to autorun, then start > run > shell:startup > copy shortcuts there. I crash a windows boot drive every few weeks it seems like, and it's what I do to launch at startup from my secondary drive, and I don't have to play with the registry.

Or just google "add programs to startup windows 8.1". Whatever.
