I got this Asus Republic of Gamers G50 laptop from a friend and it won't boot up properly. Could someone possibly point me in the right direction so I can fix this thing. I've tried doing everything I can but I'm not the best with advanced stuff.

This is where it gets stuck. The windows start up sound still plays. I tried hooking it up to my TV with an hdmi to see if it was just the screen messing up but it wasn't.

Just for that, I'm not going to tell you what the problem is.

Please help

Fine, since you said please.
Those green things are artifacts like in pic related. Your video card is dying, and it doesn't look like replacements are easy to find. Use it as a headless linux box.

GPU dying, use an heatgun on the GPU die, look on the web to see how it's done.
With a heatgun you can fix it for some time, my father has been keeping a dying 8800GT alive for 2 years since it broke (he has to fix it again every once a while).
The issue is always the same, micro fractures in the ball soldering inside the chips, pros have reflow ovens, we commoners have to make do with the heatguns (or literal kitchen ovens)

looks like your graphics card is dead. hdmi won't show anything cuz its wired through graphics card. It looks like it boots from processor VGA, then tries to switch to dedicated, but dedicated is dead and gives you this screen. If you happen to have analog VGA output, then you shoul try connecting it to tv with it.
