Just did a quick search, I frequently access network file shares and transfer contents to my device using FX. Did iOS ever get a proper file manager or is that still not allowed? My iPhone 6s is stuck in headphone mode after I connected to JBL Everest 100 bluetooth headphones. It won't play the internal speaker



I've done the obvious:

-turned off bluetooth

-hard reset

-reset settings

-restored as new phone

-connected to another bluetooth device



Before I take it to a service provider, are there any suggestions? I've only found a couple other scattered posts suggesting that connecting to a bluetooth audio device could cause this problem.

iPhone 6 deleted all my texts, but storage is still high

Okay, so recently I was trying to update my iPhone 6 to the most recent update and it was continuously failing. So I cleared up a bit of storage by deleting some photos and then restarted my phone. When my phone turned back on, all of my texts were deleted. I was a bit upset at first because I have many texts saved, but I got over it after a couple of minutes. I then updated my iPhone successfully and not long after that I got the "storage is almost full" message, so I went to settings to check out what was taking up my storage. To my surprise, my messages were taking up 1.6 gb of my storage. I know for sure that this wasn't true because all my texts got deleted maybe 45 minutes before, and I definitely didn't get enough texts in that time span to take up 1.6 gb! I tried to backup my iPhone to my computer to see if that would change it but it didn't. Please help!

My iPhone keeps crashing several times a day, it goes onto the black screen of death with the apple logo for 5 - 10 seconds then back to normal. It's on the latest software, I have ample memory left, and I've done the whole back up and set up as a new phone... Any ideas?

Alright. So I have an iPhone 5s, I bought it at the 16th of june. Which makes it almost 3 months.
I bought it second handed, but it never had any problem.
It did got weat like 2 months ago but after a night i put it in rice it was perfect again!

A few days ago, it started having problems. First, the home button didn't work. I restarted my iphone and it worked. a few hours later I had the same problem. I restarted, nothing happened, so I just turned it off for a night and it worked again. Now, today. It stopped working. Nothing helps, though, the fingerprint does work.
Now, I used the EasyTouch or how it's not called. Thing is, after a few hours, it got stuck on recovery mode. It got off after a few times. it happend a few more times and now it won't get off it. It won't let me update and I can't loose all my data! I haven't backed up. Never. I NEVER even thought something could happen to it. I always keep it so safe, I just don't know what to do. If I'll have to go somewhere to fix it, I'll have to save for a few months. Which means I won't have a phone. I REALLY need help, and fast! please!

my iphone 6 plus died on me while playing a game the battery was around 90% it wouldn't turn back on for about 30 minutes finally it came back on and was working fine until it started to keep restarting and I kept getting the apple symbol. when it finally came back on normal I did the latest software update and it downloaded and when it went to restart it never turned back on I tried 100's of times even went to the apple store and they couldn't do anything they tried to restore it thru iTunes but iTunes cant connect to the phone so they told me its pretty much junk! So this morning im at school in my first period and im using my phone normally and its charged at 80 percent, and im listening to music through my ear buds and then all of a sudden my iphones screen just shuts and wont turn back on, but my music is still playing and i still received notifications via vibrations or sound. now ive had a few friends already tell me its my LCD or LED thats been shattered but i have no idea, and I want to try and see if i can fix this with ou having to drive to a geek squad or apple store, even if it means knocking on my phones door a tad bit. Just updated my wife's 5S to 9.0.2, and it won't charge anymore. Coincidence? The battery was at 40% and is gradually shrinking. It makes the "Pom!" sound when I connect the Lightning cable, and shows the lightning icon like it's charging, however the battery percentage doesn't go up.



Here are the things I've already tried. The phone still wouldn't charge after each of these:



- Cleaning out lint (there was a tiny bit, not much, and it made no difference).

- Pushing the cable firmly into the phone in an attempt to improve the connection.

- Plugging into a different charger (Apple plug and Apple cable, works fine on my 5S and iPad Air 2 but doesn't work with my wife's 5S).

- Turning the phone off and back on via the power button.

- Holding home and power buttons to do a hard reboot.

- Holding home and power to put it into device recovery mode, and updating with iOS 9.2 again from iTunes.



Any possibilities I missed?

My iPhone 6s home button is really hot and the device won't turn on

i have had my phone since Friday, and this morning when I woke up the home button was burning hot and the screen is just black. I went to bed with it working just fine last night, plugged it in to charge, and now it won't work. Nothing else is hot, not even the charging port, just the home button is on fire. I have had the phone unplugged for an hour and the button is still on fire. I had just made the choice to switch from a Samsung to this iPhone and need to say it makes me slightly regret my choice because I have always known that apple products have tons of issues. I an not happy that I have had this phone for less than 5 days and this is happening. Anyways, is there anything i can do to fix it without having to go into the apple storeI did not finish setting up my iCloud, so to lose all of information because of a defective phone will not make me happy.

Green dots in iPhone 6 Plus photos - is it something that can be fixed?

I've just recently noticed some obvious bright green dots in sunset photos I've taken with my iPhone 6 Plus. I thought it was just recent, so I went back and looked over old photos and found a couple with the same phenomenon as far back as late 2014. I saw at least one other discussion here about this from 2014, but there didn't seem to be a conclusion.



My AppleCare warranty is up on 9/25/2016. Is this something that will go away if replaced? Or is it a problem with the quality of the camera?



Otherwise beautiful photos are being wrecked by this. Here are a couple of examples.

Ever since I installed 9.3.5 I´ve been having two big problems on my phone aside from touch disease..which is not related. My battery drains very quickly and I can not log in to my home wifi network without knocking all other devices off. Example, kids are watching netflix on the xbox and the moment I connect to the network the xbox loses its connection..and it´s on LAN and not WIFI. My macbook which is on WIFI also loses connection to the internet. Once I turn wifi off on my phone all other devices reconnect. Tried various ¨fixes¨ such as restoring network settings, disabling some network services, etc and absolutely nothing works. I´ve logged in to my router and it´s running the latest firmware...this started happening shortly after installing the latest patch...9.3.5.

I updated my iPhone 6+ to 9.3.5 yesterday and now my camera will not focus. I noticed it right after the update but couldn't figure out the issue. I've checked again this morning and its still happening after a reboot and a night on charge.



It is more pronounced in landscape mode. When the camera is still (even on a tripod) the screen looks like it is swaying left and right and any images taken are blurred. It does happen in portrait but seem like it is doing it less, but its up and down in portrait.



In video mode it is even more noticeable and also is accompanied by a whirring/pulsing sound that you can hear on playback.



I've tried a reset and it still happens.

I have an iPhone 6+. I just tried to restart it and it's locked on the white apple screen. The on/off button seems to be pressed in (it's not clicking when I press it) so restarting the system using the home key + on/off button isn't working. I tried connecting it to my computer, but iTunes and iPhoto doesn't recognize that the phone is connected. Help!

Iphone 6 stuck on start screen

I was just using my phone and the white screen with the apple appeared but I didn't restart it....I didn't drop my phone at all (since most articles seem to say it happens bc of that). I tried a hard reset and putting the phone in DFU mode but nothing is working.

I bought a 6s on October 12, 2015, and it has randomly shut itself down (even though fully charged) every day this week. It is a 16GB model, and last night I updated it to the latest OS ( 9.1). For two days in a row, I woke to a shut down phone. After the OS update, it did not shut itself off overnight, but did so around noontime today.

Apple support has remotely checked the hardware. Tonight when I get home, i'll do a restore from iTunes and see if that helps. Anyone else with a new 6s experiencing this?

iPhone 6 touchscreen issue (touch disease)

I've been having this problem for a few days. Initially, I thought it was the case it was in and started using it without the case and I still have the issue. Once in a while touch stop working or starts randomly touching itself in some cases even typed random charcaters into an email I was working on. Rebooted it many times. Reset it many times and the issue keeps coming back.

Took it to the Apple store and they ran some diagnostics and said everything was fine and maybe be a hardware issue and I'm out of warranty. My iPhone 6 is 1yr 10months.



What is the solution and the fix ? Pay and get the same phone that will have the same issue?



I thought Apple made quality products that last longer...not an 800$ device that goes poof before even 2 yrs.

Took it apart and dried it out and it works but I've noticed Siri coming on randomly occasionally when I play music WHICH IS FUCKING ANNOYING, and the phone sometimes doesnt turn on when I hit the home/power button, have to wait a few seconds and then it works. Wait for the 7. I get a free upgrade this year and that's what imma get. It waterproof (as is the 6s) so that will be useful for me...

I purchased my iPhone 6 Plus in early June to replace my iPhone 4. I restored my 4's backup onto my new-to-me iPhone 6 Plus. Since my 4 had memory issues I did not have hardley any apps so I did not discover the problem for a few weeks when I began downloading and using apps on the new phone.

here are some of the things my phone is doing:

-periodically drops all connection i.e. Can't send/receive texts, web pages don't load

-Screen freezes, nothing responds to touch.

-Phone restarts itself

the freezing/unresponsive/no connection has happened repeatedly where I have to restart my phone multiple times a minute to just send one text. After restart it usually works ok for a little while. I notice that it's worst if it restarts and there are music/audiobook apps open.

Now, strangely, all these symptoms disappear and the phone acts normal when, after a restart, for some reason the wifi is grayed out and it can not be turned back on If I restart the phone again sometimes the wifi is not grayed out and the problems persist.

I Have tried restarting the phone and restoring the back up, I deleted my Exchange email account, restarted the phone 100s of time. The only time there is a difference is when the WIFI is grated out.

IF anyone has delt with this problem I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you so much.

My Iphone 6 is not charging or switching on. Help!!

Several nights ago i had left my phone to charge whilst i slept. Admittedly the charger was very faulty and i was planning to buy a new one the following day. After i woke up i went to use my iPhone and it wasn't on, i assumed it was dead so i pressed the ON button and the charging symbol would not show. I went and brought a brand new charger and i still had no luck, the screen was blank. I had tried every trouble shorting method put there, such as the hard reset, and connecting to iTunes, but it doe not even recognize my iphone. It has been 3 days now and i am in desperate need for my phone, without paying a huge expense. Would it be worth buying a new battery and charging port and replacing those??? Help !!!

My iphone 5 has recently developed a bulge on the left hand side of the screen just above the volume buttons. I have taken it into the apple store who said they believe it to be the battery expanding but as the phone is one month outside of warranty they will not replace. Then told me to contact my service provider, which I have done and they have sent me back to apple. Any suggestions? I don't think its fair that I should have to pay to repair a faulty item as I would expect an item of this cost to last much longer than 13 months. Anyone know if I'm covered under the sales of goods act?

Cannot get service on my iPhone 6

For the past month my phone has been unable to get adequate service. The phone does not have water damage and connects to wifi just fine. There will be periods in which I will have LTE, but then it will drop to "no service" within a matter of minutes. It has nothing to do with my location and must be a problem with the phone. I have tried everything from reseting the settings to doing a full factory setting restoration which has been done multiple times. I have also removed the sim card. Please let me know if you have any insight on my problem.

My iPhone 6 keeps rebooting when I connect it to the wall outlet and gets stuck at the apple logo. I can manage to put it into recovery mode with the "connect to iTunes" sign but if I disconnect it from the wall outlet it goes off. I have no idea what to do.

So this is it for my iphone 6 plus, after about a year and a half, my iphone's touch Just stopped working i guess is that famous "touch disease".

Is Apple repairing this failiure? Are apple devices made to work less than 2 years??

I just got the iPhone SE. It's very nice but I'm concerned about how HOT it gets. (This is what happened with my 5s when the screen started to split. The phone worked great until earlier this month when I noticed how HOT it would get whenever I used it.) It did NOT have this problem until recently. A few people said it was the battery.



I had the 5s for a while and decided to upgrade to the SE. But now I'm worried that the same thing will happen to my new iPhone! I've heard some real "horror stories" about Apple products but this is the first time anything weird has happened to ME. What did I do wrong?



Both phones were purchased at T-Mobile. I still have the 5s because it wasn't eligible for a trade in with visible damage. The SE is brand new and still has a one year warranty. No Apple Care coverage. (Can I even get Apple Care if the phone was purchased at T-Mobile??)

Brand new iPhone 6, 64gb, no case, received 24 hours ago, one charge cycle of use, everything works fine with the phone, except it is randomly ghost touching left side of screen. Phone has been restarted several times, updated the as shipped iOs 8.0 to iOs 8.1.1 at lunch, no change, ghost touching still happening.



Turned it on and upon initial configuration noticed ghost touching of left side of screen, phone opened up an app and was operating it as if being touched, mostly left side of screen inputs, (my hands no where near the screen) typing a text ghost touching happened again, left screen ghost touches causing all sorts of mayhem. On a web page looking at an item I recently purchased, ghost touching selected the item, and shopping cart, (thank goodness to actually place and order requires more deliberate action). Updating the apps from the app store, non stop ghost touching, launching the apps trying update. Withe he phone sitting on the desk no objects near it even ghost swiped along with more ghost touches that took it out of "updates" and launched a video of a game in "Featured Apps" Once the updates were down, the ghost touching subsided to the more sporadic random touching. During the app updates was the only real noticeable pattern and it was quite literally almost non stop entire time.

I needed your help because i was at a meeting and i turned the my iPhone 6s off so that you had to press the turn on



button for a long time to turn it on again. Well the meeting was over and i went home but i forgot my phone it was



pretty late so i wanted to search my phone the other day and i didn't found it. But 3 days later my friend found my



phone under my desk where i had put it to charge. So it still worked but Touch ID didn't recognize my two thumbs it still



worked but i only could unlock my phone with the code. I went to the settings and the deleted the two fingers and



scanned the same fingers again (my two thumbs) so i turned off my phone and it worked once with every finger i turned



it off the 3rd time and it didn't worked it said repeat. So what can i do to make it work again?

Une heure plus tard ...., plus rien. Aucun bouton ne permet de remettre en marche, la séquence de maintenir le Home Button avec Power pendant plus de 30 sec n'a rien donné. ios 9.3.5 erased my medical data

I decided to upgrade from iOS 9.3.4 to iOS 9.3.5.



During the upgrade process, the installer crashes and fails! Then I reset the device and reload from iTunes. After an hour, it finally completes. I go to update my medical data and find I have lost a year's worth of data!!!

Honestly the 6 and 6S Plus are both pretty solid desu senpai.

I see the appeal for android, but I've just never ran into any of the bugs that exist. Maybe I'm lucky, but every android I've had has either died from shitty mem leak adware or burned a hole in my pocket or screen has broken.

I haven't cracked an iphone screen yet, and haven't even run into minor bugs on any of their phones. I don't know why, I know they've existed, but I just have not had those problems.

I use basic bitch apps (FB, credit card app, amazon, etc.), itunes, and basic phone stuff. It's always extremely quick on responsiveness, and touch ID being implemented for purchases now has spoiled me - I hate retyping the same password six thousand times a day.

Is it more expensive? Absolutely. Does apple dictate what you're going to like? Sure do.

But having a super fast, easy to learn phone that implements convenient upgrades and doesn't slow down after using it for years is a big plus for me.

Iphone Random Storage Full with only 2GB used

Is this a hardware or software issue? I have an iPhone 6s 16G, using the latest iOS to date (iOS 9.3.5) with all apps up-to-date and I'm currently having to restore from backup every 2 days.

Basically I wake up in the morning and it says either "Storage full" or "Storage almost-full". Then I plug it to my mac - ITunes and I can see that my apps only occupies less than 3g (no music or photos). Basically it's all in the "others" category.

After I run a backup and restore, it clears up. But this all comes back again in 2 days

iPhone 6 Plus touch screen malfunctioning

I have heard of the touch screen disease. I think my phone has it and quits working intermittently. Sometimes more than others. It also gets very hot in the top right corner. I have to restart or force quit it to get it working again and sometimes it will last for awhile and sometimes I just have to quit using it for awhile. Anyone else having that problem?

6 + Grey Bar at top of screen, screen un-responsive

Two weeks ago I noticed that a small grey flickering bar would appear at the top of my screen when unlocking my phone. Sometimes it would just go away and other times it would linger and my screen either: would not accept any touches, or the touches would register incorrectly and open un-wanted apps or type wrong things.



Took it to the Apple store last Saturday, Genius's looked at it and saw the issue, did a screen replacement. It is now one week later and the issue just re-surfaced. I am about to do a full restore on the phone to see if that helps.



Anyone else with this issue???? I will post an update after the restore. None of the people at my store had seen this issue before.

My iPhone 6's GPS stopped working all of the sudden.

Particularly, none of the map software can pick up a GPS signal.

On Waze, the error message is No GPS.

On Google Map and iOS Maps, the phone could not track my location correctly (showing approx. area only)

I tried all the steps suggested on the web, including changing location services, airplane mode, resetting network setting, etc. None of them worked. Finally I did a hard reset (erase all contents and setting and restore to default), still no avail.

I downloaded the GPS Status app and the status always shows "no fix" (as in could not get a fixed location) (I was outdoor with direct sight to sky)

Running latest iOS and apps.

Please let me know if there's a fix for this? Is this a hardware issue?

iPhones are too fragile and the mobile os is too rigid. The interface is too "intuitive" for me to feel natural. I feel like it works for younger people who are used to apple, but I don't want to "flip" a page in a pdf/book, I want a little button to press, for instance.
