If you just want to see what Go is like without committing to reading a whole book on Go then read the first couple of chapters of "Web Development with Go" by Shiju Varghese which has a good quick introduction on Go

I'm already know C like the back of my hand. I'm looking to learn something different because I've heard good things, and I also will most likely be transitioning to my company's go codebase in the near future. Because I have a job and don't spend my days trying to write the most efficient known fizzbuzz algorithm

Already found a quick introduction to all the major concepts in the language and I'm interested, but thanks for the suggestion
