I ordered 3 of these poo-fans for 50 bucks since my Scythe slipstreams are loud as turbines.
Did I fall for the poo-fan meme?
>>
>>56406391
> i bought a meme
> did i fall for the meme?
kill yourself
>>
>>56406391

you just made a thread asking if you fell in a meme-trap

like how retarded is this board?

Dude just be happy and if you got them at a good price, just enjoy THE BEST FUCKING POOFANS OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>
>>56406391
You fucked up hard, scythe ones are superior even when you reduce their voltage.
>>
>50 dollars
>poop fans

Is there a good reason you needed three fans in the first place
>>
>>56406476
my inner nerd wanted a silent system and the slipstreams are too loud. Also muh music production
>>56406441
maybe a different model but the db 120s are loud af
>>
>>56406494
>What's reducing the voltage to reduce the RPM thus reducing the noise.

How hard that is for you, anon?
>>
>>56406494
>my inner nerd
jesus fuck normie, get the fuck out of here
>>
>>56406503
they are loud even at 7v with 600 rpm
They were louder than the stock case fan actually
>>
If noctua is shit what fucking brand should I get?

For silence of performance?

Anyways EK makes some top tier silent radiator fans nowadays, noiseblockers too.
>>
>>56406391
>120mm

no, but you fell for the 120mm fan meme
>>
>>56406391
>$50 for THREE fans
case fans really are overpriced memes.
>>
I have a feeling you're confusing the sound of air moving with the sound of the fan. You can buy the quietest fans out there, but if they're pushing too much air too fast they're going to sound like a hair dryer.

>Source: I made mistakes when I was 14 too
>>
why does all retards buy so much fans? i have no case fans in my computer and it has worked fine 5 years already and still works
>>
Is noctua being shilled in /g/ or what?

Go by reviews, not by brand
>>
I paid over $120 for my 10 noctua fans. 4 in the front, 4 in the back, 2 for HDD bays and that's not including the fans on my noctua heatsink
>>
>>56408022
And do you regret it?
I'm planning on asking the support for a replacement even though my fan works since they seem to just send you new ones if you say it's faulty.
>tfw delivish

>tfw bought a 40mm noctua for my desoldering station

Best meme I fell for, now I can actually use the thing without suffering from temporary hearing loss
>>
>>56408302
I don't know. If it stays quiet for another 3 years I'd say it's worth it. Every PC fan I've had turned into a noisy piece of shit after a couple of years
>>
>>56408368
Sounds like dust, but what the fuck?

Do you smoke or something, or did you get a $20 piece of shit case with no dust filters?
>>
>>56408368
Looks like someone forgot to lube his fans, you lube your fans like you lube your dildo desu senpai.
>>
>>56406391
After replacing my HSF twice over the course of two years, having used three mainstream, cheap fans, I decided to buy Noctua fans.

So far, they've outlasted the first fan and are quickly coming up on the second fan's lifespan, which was the longest lived of the three, so if these last two years, I'll be happy with them and buy more.
>>
>>56408389
The case fans I've had came with the cases, the motor just gets louder every year. Must be sleeve bearing

It's ok anon, I understand how you feel.
I bought a corsair sp120 thinking it would be quiet, but even undervolted it was too loud.

That does mean bad news though, we're both giant fucking autists. Just accept it and move on.
I recommend poo fans and noiseblocker fans, at as low a voltage you can get them to spin at.
>>
Just got 3 Fractal GP-14's for £20. Generally fans are overpriced though.

Just replaced the deltas in my pentium II system with a poo fan, its so quiet.
>>
>>56406846
I have 6 case fans. Having multiple slow fans is more quiet than having a few fast fans. The case fans sound very little compared to the GPU fan. Without any case fans or with too few case fans, the GPU fan gets gets really loud at even moderate load, so the system becomes quieter with the extra fans.
>>
>>56412428
usually the hdd makes most noise in those.
>>
>>56412534

Not when its been replaced by a 64gb CF card.
>>
>>56406494
>tfw you want a quiet pc to work on besides shitposting with your nerd friend on 4chins :^DDD
