The fx x300 series is for one, a four year old architectural revamp of a 5 year old architecture that was solely designed on high multithreading capabilities. Intel went the route of increasing IPC. Noone fucking codes for multithreading, it's not common to even see x64 applications. Who do you think performs better in most day to day tasks? The 8350 is fairly competitive in heavy multithreading tasks like rendering, but otherwise it's nothing special. They made plenty of improvements in the construction core arch, but they stopped updating desktop cpus at step 2/4

AMD 8350 for cheep cores which will give you longevity. or an i7 if you just want the best now.
Don't bother with i3-5. I3 is almost obsolete. and the i5 is for a cheepish gameing rig.

Intel is superior to AMD processors, AMD graphics cards have always worked well for me though

Mostly shilling for intell. but there are a fair few people that will just go with what ever benchmarks higher, even tho it's not a real world gain. They just like to feel as if they know better.

They'd still tell you to buy an i3 over an 8350 even if it cost more. Just because single core performance.

Sure that nets you some FPS, but for doing anything else that isn't gameing or high level mathematics it has almost zero appreciable real world affect.
