This is what keeps me the fuck away from the iPhone. I have an iPad, which is a god tier device with fucking outstanding life battery but jesus fucking christ, if you just want to do the simplest fucking thing in the world you have to jump through a billion obstacles or waste precious hours googling away something that you'd do in android in a fucking split-second. I use an xperia z3, which I just ssh from my pc or plug with an usb cable and transfer all the kinds of shit I want, whereas on my ipad I have to find an specific app for an specific file, I usually have to buy the fucking app to have a somewhat decent experience too and then I have to do everything through fucking iTunes. It's just miserable. When it works, it's great, but holy fucking shit does it get annoying at times. Even lurking 4chan is a chore because no app.

I really like the look of iphones but just imagining having like a third of the functionality of my Z3 will forever keep me away from this trash.

I already had a horrible time once by falling for the windows phone meme and I don't want to go back to a glorified project of what a smartphone should be instead of having the actual thing. Another thing that I find fucking hilarious is how completely unreliable the home button has become in recent iphone models. I always laugh at my friend who always gave me shit for having on-screen buttons (which I hide with an app and only use when necessary) while now he has to rely on a virtual home button on his 5s' screen to operate the phone.

If iPhones had at least half the usability of android phones and didn't charge you the price of the fucking thing just to repair a fucking button, then maybe I'd consider it. Otherwise, not a fucking chance. They are just glorified instagram/facebook accessories. iPads are amazing for their battery life though and I think I will always have one because they are maximum comfy tier.
