We need a programming board. /g/ is a tech support board.
>>56385358
>/g/ is a product shilling board
Fixed.
>>56385379
Yeah that too.
>>56385358
tech support is against /g/'s rules
https://www.4chan.org/rules#g
>Tech support threads should be posted on /wsr/.
>>56385358
we had one and few people used it
a shame really, /prog/ was one of the best places on the internet to discuss programming if you could manage to get a discussion started

it was removed due to technical limitations (inability to support anime pictures)
We used to have the text board /prog/.
I've only lurked on lainchan. The posts are of high quality, but the user base is very low. Lainchan is comparable to old /g/ (before the /v/ invasion).
I don't know if cripplechan has a programming board. Last time I checked, it didn't have any. It would be nice though to have our board there.

We have /dpt/.
Aside from stupid language bikeshedding and Haskell evangelism, why would you need an entire board?
It would be full of "pls do my cs homework guys"
>>56385746
Big whoop.
We have "gais plz repurr computar fr mey" and it gets flooded with INSTALL GENTOO.
We have "how do I unlocked phone" threads and they get flooded with "give the phone back, nigger"

This board is used to discuss consumer electronics. Programming related discussions don't thrive here because the content is too diverse (graphics cards, headphones, chink shit etc). My suggestion is to split this board into two new boards: hardware and software.
