Let's talk convertibles. Recently I've been in the market for a new laptop to do some basic text-editing and light web browsing. I've also been in the market for a tablet to read some pdfs and watch videos in bed. I figured that instead of buying both an android tablet and a chromebook I could just buy a convertible chromebook instead. I was planning on getting a large tablet anyways so the size doesn't really bother me.
Has /g/ had any convertible laptops? Do you actually use the convertible feature? Should I just get a good chromebook instead?

Sounds like you need a UMPC

I already have a 5.5 inch smartphone, but it sucks for reading pdfs. Also I can't really write code or run servers on it easily. A UMPC's keyboard would be too tiny to type comfortably anyways
I have one. It runs fine. I always use it as a laptop though, never as a tablet. Even in bed, I just rest the keyboard on my belly. I think touchscreens are useless you get one with an active digitizer (usually Wacom), but those are expensive (unless you get it used).
Most two in one's are garbage.
Pick one or the other.

Do you have one of the fancy ones or a Chromebook?
