Why do so many anime girls read SICP?

Is SICP used in universities anymore, even by MIT? What is the reason for this if the book is so good

Literally one of the most useless programming books I've ever read

The entire book is entry level simple programming shit made frustrating by repetitive, overly elaborate math problems and having to reinvent the wheel all the time

Also Lisp is absolute fucking garbage

Is HtDP actually worth getting? I'm a self taught programmer and I'm wanting to learn how to write cleaner code but I only have worked on my own solo projects so I constantly worry I am just compounding my own mistakes.
