Why can't Linux into Mainstream?

No games, we want AAA titles, not shitty Indie and Valve games.

1) Normies are often literally too dumb to even change a filename on their selfies
2) Everybody who is even slightly more tech literate still buys the "le linux wastes time and is unstable" meme despite the fact that linux makes a perfect facebook machine and could easily fulfill 90% of the reasons most people use computers outside of gaming, the irony is that the real trouble with linux is using it for actual work

No high end proprietary software due to the efforts of FOSS and licenseing demanding free modifiable and accessible code. Little marketing or funding from major organizations which encourage the development and investment of proprietary software on Linux.
Multiple distros each with their own maitenance issues and rules for package managment which can make distribution and maitenance less supported and more tricky. Multiple desktop environments etc. also can bring difficulties.

Linux completely dominates the server and mobile markets which are what is actually important. Only austistic gaymurrs use desktops.

I'm sure the devs behind every distro are really eager to meet all the normies complaining about breaking everything and blaming the OS.
