Is the durability a meme? Other than the "draining keyboard", is there actually anything to the construction you wouldnt find on any other high end laptop?

I'm buying it to do video and photo editing on a long trip so dust/weather/vibration resistance is pretty much all I care about

Unless you're doing very light editing or doing all the heavy lifting on an external server you would be better served by a w or p series thinkpad. Although those are quite a bit heavier and also more expensive if I recall correctly.

Also the drainhole has been removed in post *30 thinkpads.
