So I figure I should probably give back to /csg/ every now and then. I've had these headphones for a few days now (I paid less than $20 USD shipped for the headphones and the replacement pads since they were OOS and my order was delayed by a week). They're not exactly chinkshit compared to some of the other shit on this thread but I'm sure they're just rebranded chinkshit. I got them from monoprice, part no 8323 (ear pads, 11950). They sound very good and are pretty comfortable. They have a detachable cable so they work well with a "headset" cable. I like them a lot more than my turtlebeach x12 headset. They have a little more bass and a little less on the high end but I'm sure I could clean that up with an eq. The best part is that there is no static, unlike with my old headphones. I would definitely recommend them for the price.

Forgive me for the photo, my new phone sucks with low-light and I tried to clean it up a bit.

/hpg/ here. 8323 is alright, but it has some problems. first being you need some extra padding on the head-band or you will get a hot spot after a while. new pads like you mentioned too. also the plastic along the ends of the band tends to crack, this can eventually mean the internal metal band gets dislodged and they're pretty hard to use after that.

if you want a cheap as shit headphone, the tascam th-02 needs new pads and possible padding as well, and the cable is fixed. but it also sounds MUCH better, as in not far off the $100 m40x and xpt-100. it's also only $15-20. if you want to spend a bit more the 668b sounds a good deal better than both and it's like $35 on amazon right now. also kind of needs new pads though.

or you could just get an IEM for <$10.

I also just got in my Gole1. It's a relatively new chinese UMPC. It comes with a x5-z8300 and 4 GB RAM and 64 GB emmc (also available in 2GB/32GB) and it runs Windows 10 and Android 5. Supposedly it's getting an update for Android to ver 6 soon but I have my doubts. It runs very well in my experience and is significantly faster than both my ux180p and my samsung q1u.

It's about the same size as my UX, a little smaller since the UX has an extended battery but with the HDD addon, my UX is about the same size. It has 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0, 1 HDMI, megabit ethernet, 2 charging ports (proprietary 3A charger and micro usb for trickle charging), and a headphones port. It also has an external antenna which is a little annoying but since it's solid aluminum, I guess that's the only way to get a decent signal without compromising on the case.

It does mostly work with xubuntu as well but there are some chipset related issues that can probably be fixed with custom repos or a different distro.

I'm hoping to get some sort of clip on keyboard or controller but I think it might be a bit too thick for some of the stuff that's designed for phones so I might have to get something custom 3d printed and use a DS3/4 controller.

It's frustrating though because the manufacturer has not released any driver packs (so make sure you back that shit up) and I really would like some sort of hardware keyboard/mouse addon like my older UMPCs. Also, the wifi does not appear to be AC as far as I can tell but I believe that may be a bug with the AU on Windows 10. It only shows as ABGN but I don't have AC anymore so I don't really care one way or the other.

I was worried about the 2600 mAh battery but I can get at least 4 hours out of it (video) and some people are reporting charging issues but I haven't had that experience. My unit is part of the latest batch though.

I'd do a video review but I don't have a tripod. But I will answer any questions if anyone has any.

Sorry. It's supposed to be a mini pc. The screen and battery are just to qualify it as a tablet so Microsoft will give a free Windows 10 license from what I have read. I'm just comparing it with a UMPC but it's technically a mini tablet. For reference, my phone is bigger than it. The only hardware controls are the four buttons on the front (power, vol+, vol-, and a super key), everything else is touch screen.
