Hi /g/
Can any of you /g/ents share any material that can help me get prepared for a CompTIA A+ cert? Thanks in advance.
>>
I'll make it short and brief

I want to flash a rom (preferably a stable build) of Cyanogenmod to my LG G Pad 7.0.

Tried searching for the files but I can only find nightly builds for 5.0.2 though xda and a couple other places

Anyone know where I could possible find it?

Also this isn't the question but any sites that offer step by step rooting/flashing guides? I have a general rootkit/odin guide but I was wondering if you guys know of a different one.

Thanks

>>
>>56338546
Double check your HDCP settings/cabling to make sure you're even able to capture. If you're capturing a console and streaming it (which I'm assuming but this is just one possibility) HDCP will fuck with your recording. There are ways to get around that.

The ssh-copy-id command (in the openssh-client package and installed by default) does exactly this:

ssh-copy-id [email protected]

When using a module pattern, is it even necessary to wrap the module in an iife? Passing the same arguments for each module is redundant. Also, I can't access other modules' functions unless I attach them to the window object, which of course exposes the whole damn module. What's the best practice here?

/module 1

(function($) {
var One = {
init: function() {

}
}
One.init();
})(jQuery);

(function($, $$) {
var One = {
init: function() {

}
}
One.init();
})(jQuery, Sizzle);
>>
>>56339500
I meant to type:

//module 1

(function($) {
var One = {
something: function(e) {}; //etc
}
})(jQuery);

//module 2

(function($, $$) {
var Two = {
init: function() {},
somethingElse: function() {} //etc
}
Two.init();
})(jQuery, Sizzle);

More specifically, I want to run One.init from Two.somethingElse

>>
>>56338706
reboot, log in as administrator, clear out the folder, then logout/back in
the temp folder only contains temporary things, nothing important/permanent should be in there
rebooting and using the admin account is just to minimize the number of files that are being accessed (and therefore not deletable, since windows won't let you delete things that are open for some reason)

So guys, i need some help, figured this would be the best place to ask.

I'm a seasoned web developer who got my start in C++, basically fell in love with php when i had to make a bit of software talk to a server.

So after explaining all of my past accomplishments with an old co-worker, he wants me to see if i can handle writing up some test software for a bit of hardware we have. Which would mean more hours and more pay.

I've written some fairly complex C++ application but i've never written anything with a GUI.

what the fuck do i do?
It needs to run on both windows and linux.

Portability should be of zero issues, all we need access to is a serial port thats honestly going to be the most complex bit of code besides the gui.

Whats the best "system" to use so i can have one code base that compiles to both linux and windows. (i did a bit of this in older projects, but again nothing ever had a GUI)

I got a good one

I've got a, maybe 1 y/o Lenovo laptop I use for work, it normally sits on my desk in front of my armchair. It's running Botnet 10.

Quite a few times, I've come into my room after making coffee or something, and the screen has timed out - then when I come to sit down, it turns on.

First I assumed my ass was wobling the chair, which moves the mouse (my mousepad balances on the chair arm) but a few times, it turns on before I've even sat down.

I literally just walked into the room, turned on the light, and the screen woke up.

Can anyone guess/explain? am I imagining it? Is my laptop haunted?

t. slightly scared anon

i listen to everything on my foobar2000.

i download everything. music and podcasts+other long-winded listening.

i want two separate playlists/libraries that automatically remembers where i was at when i come back from the other one? meaning i can listen to a 4 minute song and then come back to my one hour podcast.

is there a plugin that does this? another player that this is built in to?

seems like this would be a very asked for feature in 2016. but i guess i'm the only one who downloads and listens to stuff locally.

I'm a little to lazy at the moment to post this on a Windows forum, but basically /g/,I'm having a weird experience.

Since people have said that Cortana can't be easily disabled after the anniversary update to W10, I decided to Google how to do it. In the first page I found, some symptoms of having Cortana enabled were listed, I noticed that I was suffering none of those. It then pointed me to some place in the registry, so obviously I went and opened my registry, and when I was just about to navigate to the right place (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search) I found that I was already somewhere very similar (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Search) and that the place that I was supposed to navigate to was actually no where to be found.

Does this indicate that I've disabled Cortana already and simply don't remember doing it? Or is she still alive?

Also, a question from a friend of mine who hasn't touched W10 in like 8 months (he's wisely dropped it for Linux). "Why can't you just delete the [Cortana] program outright? Just write some zeros into the executable, or if Windows 10 keeps on repairing it with every update, can't you just make a batch file and put it in startup to delete it (or you can even setup a service to run as admin)?".

Can anyone answer that?

It's an issue in hand written mathematics as well.

If you divide a number by 3 and then multiply it by 3, you may end up with a different number:

0.3333 * 3 = 0.9999

It's the same with floats.

Stupid question ahead:

A site I use has some interesting images uploaded but not everyone of them are displayed/"linked" on the site. You have to discover them by changing the numbers at the end of the URL. The format of the url is: site.com/IMAGES/xxxxxxx.jpg where xxxxxxx are numbers that aren't consecutive (for example 20002.jpg might work but the next working pic is 20091.jpg)

Is there any software I could use to automate this discovery process without manually changing URLs?

>>
>>56345972

They didn't copy properly and when you reinstalled the OS on the original drive you wiped out any possibility of recovery, save for a very very small one. You'll have to do an attempted recovery that scans every sector of the original drive (even with Windows already on it).

Disconnect it and connect it to some other machine and then do the recovery - you don't want to continue using that drive (the one you reinstalled Windows on that originally had the images in the first place) because Windows is constantly writing to said drive so, you don't use a drive you need to recover data from.

Use some data recovery software like GetDataBack, Zero Assumption Recovery, R-Studio, or even Recuva on that drive while it's attached to another machine and go from there. You'll need to use each data recovery program with a deep/full scan and see what each one can find because they all work a bit differently.

The "files" you have that show 0 bytes are just placeholders, there is no actual file meaning during the copy process the target files were designated in the MFT but never actually placed so, those are useless for recovery - you have to scan the original source drive for whatever you might be able to get.
>>
>>56346154
Damn. Will try the recovery route on the original drive, but I guess I might as well brace for considering these files lost.

Thanks man.

Use something like O&O ShutUp10 to disable cortana. You're probably barking up the wrong tree trying to root out system files. I doubt her service is a single isolated exe somewhere. Microsoft has made it a point to integrate those functions into the system as much as possible so that there's not one easily defined component anywhere. What you're describing is the way to disable edge though.

Win7. Your key will work for a win7 install just fine. Anything else is invalid

Nothing looks that bad. What do you do? My best advice would be your GPU, but that's only if you want to play the latest vidya on max settings or do VR, or use 4K.

Your original question was about pirating. You can pirate any version of windows 10 just fine.

If you are clean installing 7, there is no need to pirate. If you are installing any other version, skip entering your key and run the activator when you're done.

It is. Some people will say it's a botnet because there's no foobar2k source. An alternative would be Clementine and it can do that as well.

>>56347520
you sure the squeaking is coming from under it? doesn't that squeaking usually come from the sides of the controller's stick slot rubbing against the analog ball?

It's probably more of an at&t thing than an Iphone thing.

https://consumerist.com/2014/06/23/heres-why-you-should-think-twice-about-using-att-or-comcast-wifi-hotspots/

But that's about them adding specific preconfigured SSIDs. Autoconnecting in general is the norm on almost any device. Yes it's bad practice, but it would be too much work to expect people to go without it. So until a better wifi standard gets published and implemented it's probably not going to change.

I recently started using i3, but I'm having trouble with the hotkeys. I use a colemak keyboard, and by default, the hotkeys in i3 are set as if my board is layed out in qwerty. The problem with changing the bindings in the config is that I have to jump through the logic chain of where is the key physically located on qwerty, where does that correspond to it's opposite on colemak. This process is very confusing, and would be incredibly time consuming to do for each hotkey.

So my stupid ass question: Is there some sort of xkbmap type command I can stick in the config to have it always reference colemak hotkeys.
