Should I get this over an acutal Macbook Pro 2013 or even a Thinkpad? Same specs, customizable, HP construction, etc. I wonder if its hardware has linux drivers out of the box though... I'm just looking for a workhorse that isn't a bitch to install linux on and this seems like a good choice. Opinions on this and recommendations for such a laptop?

Made of aluminum, and I can't say anything about the heat issues. I imagine if they use MacBook specs then maybe they don't have the usual HP problems...

I have my T420 on OSX ever since Mavericks without a slightest problem. Linux support is godtier too have yet to find a distro with hw problems
