Did they manage to lockdown android more in this new version? My 4.4.4 phone finally died after 4 years and only ones available in area had 5.0 or 6.0. After using marshmallow for awhile I can say it does not feel like android at all..

This is because Qualcom is cucking us. They havn't released a driver for Nougat for the SD800 and SD801. If you do want Nougat you can help reverse engineering the binary blobs.

But if that's done you can make build any rom with them. I give it a month before the first aosp rom is available with all features working.
