Prove this is better than just opengl-hq!
Does it mean we can specify vo by framerate/resolution?
https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/compare/7af6e64db7...f42e4374d5
Is there a reason mpv doesn't seem to consider the Windows taskbar when it does its default autofit?
Not that it really matters since i can just manually set autofit-larger and geometry to fit properly.
>>56313724
What???
>>56308852
Is there a way to make the osc more minimalistic? I've seen examples but haven't figured out any scripts to do it.
>>56313811
https://github.com/torque/mpv-progressbar
>>56313755
If I open a video window that would be larger than my screen, mpv scales down the video to try to fit the window fully on my screen. However when it does this, it sets the height of the window to the screen height, instead of the screen height minus the height of the taskbar. What ends up happening then is there's a portion of the window above the top of the screen and another portion under the taskbar.

I have 2 monitors and I set --geometry to make mpv start in a specific monitor but if I turn fullscreen on then off the mpv window will be placed on the another monitor.

Quick, what's the best vo for Windows?
>>56315602
opengl-hq
>>56315722
Okay. How to I prevent video tearing on Windows 7 in with disabled desktop compositing?
>>56313954
Because the part of the code that autofits window in win32 only assures that window will fit into screen and therefore will not be resized by system and end up all screwed up (with black lines due to video/window aspect mismatch).
This code is unbypassable by options and therefore acts in a way that will leave more freadom of choice to user.
How can I enable a video preview for the seekbar in MPV?
>>56308852
▲
▲ ▲
>>56315779
You probably can't, since disabled desktop compositing also disables VSYNC and a plethora of things in Win7, you also need Aero
I used to run mpv without tearing in the classic theme by using display-sync=audio, though I did have some minimal stutter
What's a good VO for iGPU Intel HD 3000?
That want ,make the temps reach 80-90 C when playing 1080p BD with SW decoder?
>>56319830
>What's a good VO for iGPU Intel HD 3000?
opengl-hq:no-deband
>That want ,make the temps reach 80-90 C when playing 1080p BD with SW decoder?
Clean your heatsink, repaste it and/or disable turbo boost, you can also use the opengl vo instead of opengl-hq
You literally asked the same thing in the last two threads
>>56319900
>opengl-hq:no-deband
That's what I've been using.

Done that.

I'm on linux, and isn't opengl doesn't have debanding?
>You literally asked the same thing in the last two threads
No. I checked and it seems someone else have similar problem.

No way. Unless the CPU is being used at 100%, even for a laptop that's insane

Even when encoding with ffmpeg it barly reach 80C.
I know it's because of SW decoder, but I think defaults VO option are to blame as well.

I've avoided mpv for pretty much as long as it's been posted on this board, but I've recently had issues with shit like vlc losing sync between audio and video, and garbled artifacts. I finally broke down and grabbed mpv, installed gnome-mpv, edited my mpv.conf and input.conf and it's literally played every file I've thrown at it flawlessly the way mpc-hc+madvr did on Windows before I stopped dual booting and went back to Linux full-time.
mpv is literally the best Linux video player, and I'm willing to admit after all the hate and calling it a meme that I was wrong.
