The toolboxes allow you to do a lot of advanced calculations without writing anything yoursellf.
You can generate code by using block diagrams as you would explain the topic.

If you just need a nice equation typesetting program, you have tons of options-- Libreoffice/Openoffice has one built in, there's also MathML and TeX.

If you want to document a mathematical process so it's easily repeatable, I'd just include source code (Python, or Matlab if you're a pleb.) This is probably better than having your calculator export a log of your session, as it's easier for others to repeat.
