Linux for most things.
Windows for the games that don't have Linux releases (and for occasional compatibility testing).

Mac OSX because for some weird reason people use this thing, and therefore pay me money to develop and test software for them.

I switched from OS X to Linux a couple of years ago and tbqh Linux does pretty much everything better, even basic shit like work and reading emails. OS X is still better than that clusterfuck Windows 10 tho, unless you're a gaymer or you need to use [INSERT WINDOWS EXCLUSIVE SOFTWARE HERE] for work I see no reason why anyone would ever use Windows 10

Should i use Windows 7 or 8.1 as my secondary OS?. I heard that 8.1 handles RAM and SSD's in a more efficient way that 7, but i also heard that it has compatibility problems with videogames, is that true?

OS X if you own a Mac or need Mac exclusive software (hackintoshes are pretty easy to make if you know what you're doing, and way cheaper than a real shitty Mac
Linux if security and privacy are your main concerns, and don't really care about gaming.

I've been using GNU/Linux since 2004 and it just gets keep getting better and better every year.

Windows just gets worse and worse. I tried using it to play games and I just couldn't handle it.

I'd say linux is obviously great for servers
but for desktop it's great for people that like to tinker with their OS and people that don't need any windows specific programs.
and OS X is by far the only OS that runs nicely on apple hardware.
Everything else either runs turbo hot and has terrible drivers.

Win 8.1 between the two. I'm not crazy about the start menu, but load times are vastly better on 8 and from what i've seen slightly less prone to crashing.

Haven't used OS X since I had an iBook G4.
Windows on the desktop for program compatibility, any work, and vidya.
Linux on the T420 because it works really well on it and I'd like to have something dedicated to use Linux on.
