Does anyone on g have a VIA processor?

My onboard sound chip is VIA, and my pcie usb 3 card has a VIA chip on it, but I'm curious if anyone here has a CPU from them.

Why did you buy it, what do you use it for, and which model is it?

Via epia mobo with 800mhz C3 cpu, home server
I later bought a 1ghz mobo with dual ethernet.
Best price/low power before Atom.

My very sweet soundcard pic related made by professional audio manufacturer ESI also runs on a Via Envy 24HT audio processor

All in all via is an interesting company to me

Was a gift. Lot of potential, but frustrating to use, so the previous owner bought a better one and gave me the old unit.
Played with it a bunch. It is technically 586, but lacks CMOV! Have to use 486 distros (or compile from source) because they assume CMOV for 586. I did install gentoo. The manufacturer also based their system on gentoo. Tiny CF card (128MB?) necessitated configuring a compressed root. Need to play with more.

I have a VIA Samuel CPU. Don't use it for anything, the PC with it is mothballed.

No. The girl on the right is a clear 9.9999/10. I would happily put a baby in her stomach if it meant she was stuck with me for eternity.

but isn't VIA 32bit only?

Low standards.

I've got a thin client with a VIA CPU. My old boss gave it to me when they upgraded at work. I've gotten it to boot from USB before but now it won't, and I'm pretty sure the SSD is nonstandard since it draws power from PATA so I can't just toss it in another machine, install, and swap it back. Don't even know what I'd use it for though I just want to use it.

what the fuck is wrong with you?

Possibly PATA zif? Old 2.5 IDE drives got power from the same pinset as well. The PATA zif was usually used on 1.8" hard drives. I actually have one laying around, it's crazy how small they are.

Nah, they've got 64 bit quad cores.
They're still making processors
