i've built PCs in the past, usually focused my builds around general use, gaming, multimedia.
but now i am needing to switch gears and build (or buy) a solid workstation. something less than bleeding edge, but still kinda beefy.

Most things would work decently for it, as far as my simple knowledge goes. You don't need anything fancy, probably just a decent CPU and GPU.
