Stop right there. Gentoo won't fix any problems, and for all it's just a bloated piece of shit which can take forever at anything. Beyond that, I'll refute many claims that it's anything special in giving the user full control of a system. Along with a lack of any choice in software selections other than one with rolling release versions - not even for the kind of benefits which justify that in Arch Linux, as there's too much downstream patching anyway - or any clear policy of separating software with restrictive licenses from the rest, its core feature, of package management for software which is recompiled from source with custom build options and patches, is also possible to implement, with little effort (probably less than installing Gentoo requires), and also for a choice of a few packages rather than wasting time with that for all software, on Debian and many derivatives - hell, that includes "n00ubuntu" - as I'll show all guys who are there to see it on the TeamViewer meeting m56-440-921. In general, don't install Gentoo, it's only a meme and nothing else, and I've proved that above for anyone who insists otherwise.
