So, /g/, if there are engineers or phone savvy people around here... would you change your motherboard?
I'm seeing some really weird stuff here, motherboards range from 5$ to 450$ for no reason I can percieve. What difference does cheap and expensive motherboards do on an iPhone?
Discuss.

Bump.

I have a new motherboard coming in the mail. Going to replace my current one. It just involves unscrewing and unplugging shit; no big deal.
Motherboards are only difficult/impossible to change if you have a prebuilt.

Literally not a troll thread, I'm not very savvy in tech and I'd like to see what people think about this.
So i have been pondering about upgrading. My current motherboard is somewhat broken, i can boot fine, but whenever i do anything in the bios i get this black screen wkth a stuck cursor. So i was thinking camt i just upgrade and send the defect one for rma and sell it when it comes back?
Idk i hate mobo swaps because it not only costs you a motherboard, but new thermal paste and hoping you didnt kink the tubing too hard.

What are you upgrading?

my iphone
>>56250447
Good thing this >>56250468 fag isnt me. I am upgrading my desktop obviously. Its an asus z97-p because it was really cheap.
>>56250468
The motherboards themselves are pretty cheap though, and so is thermal paste. The thing you have to worry about is not fucking up.
Also, why "upgrade"? Are you changing the mobo model and not just replacing it?
>>56250509
Also I did not read thread because fuck iphones and pc upgrades or replacement is way more interesting
>>56250546
Really going to buy somethimg more durable, also i need more fan connectors, 2 3pin and one 4pin cpu isnt enough

>I'm not very savvy in tech
then why are you posting on /g/ - Technology
lurk moar
>>56250579
Who are you quoting? So being tech savvy now means everyone should be intrested in everything that all technology jhas to offer all at once, otherwise you do, according to you, not qualify to be tech savvy
>>56250605
>Who are you quoting?
The fucking guy he's replying to, you goddamned dumbass.
>>56250791
It was sarcasm, but idk just like the quote you are making up your own crap
How legit do you guys think this is? Do you think I could fix my iPhone with this?

Yes, but don't forget to solder a CPU first.
