Hi guys I was just curious what the difference between a private tracker and a public tracker is. I know it's a newb question and I'll take the heat for asking such an idiotic question. And also though is private better than public???

with public ones anyone can acess it
private is 'whitelisted'
on private ones you may have to keep a good ratio, and go through an application process to get in
public is free for anyone to use, leech as much as you fancy. but it is nice to support the people who uploaded the files to you and seed for a bit
