How good or bad is it? Can I disable botnet telemetry?

There is 'Spybot Anti-Beacon' for that, but for full 100% telemetry you ought to use Wireshark to figure out if all is legit.

Except for it being spyware its better than win7

my desktop runs 7, new laptop i bought had 8 with a free upgrade to 10.

When upgrading i unchecked the telemetry but it still makes me paranoid.
It is always being updated, runs like shit untill you update.
Wifi goes out and requires reboot to reenable.

I plan on downgrading with a fresh install of windows 7 asap. only a pain because of the lengthy install for all of work's programs, i should have just done it in the first place.

the only redeeming feature of 10 was the multiple desktops, allowed me to have a nice work / play system going.

Just installed. I feel like I have no power over ANYTHING.
