So.
I'm working on a private project with one of my friends.They send me this weird format I've never seen before, and they're telling me that it should 'just open', then went offline. I can't open it at all.
Pic related, it's the file extension I'm seeing. How do I crack this open?

By private project I assume you mean a private server for some kind of video game? Those look like compressed texture files to me. You will need the decompiler for the files unless they are just some kind of renamed zip file.
