Trying to use one big monitor to do different things at once is the fucking hack, which is why pro's use multi-monitor setups for all kinds of shit.

can you actually record tearing? isnt it something that happens when your monitor refresh rate is out of sync with the framerate of what it shows, meaning you can only film it with camera or snap a photo of it?

>>
>>56239170
>your monitor refresh rate is out of sync with the framerate of what it shows
this is what typical screen tearing is. Its on your monitor, not your gpu or anywhere else. The screen tearing that people "record" with software is just a fuck up on that software part - people have been complaining about tearing in recordings when none is present in actual activity.
>>
>>56239200
WELL fuck me twice on sundays. thank you anon
>>
>>56239170
You can record tearing if you are recording the output of the graphics card (plugging your video output into a capture box that then passes through to a monitor).
You can't record tearing with screen capture.

Are you using a stock disk/image from 2009 release and trying to get all updates from the past 7 years? You're better off slipstreaming updates in to your own ISO.

>>56240249
>>
>>56240268
Could be something to do with the update changes they made to 7.
Try a stock iso install.
>>
>>56240268
ok.
You want to do this here: http://support.kaspersky.com/us/general/windows/6325#block1

So you can find the PID of that instance of svchost.

Then do this command here:
tasklist /svc /fi "imagename eq svchost.exe"
source: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/list-services-running-under-svchostexe-process/

That will narrow it down to a few services, one of which you will need to disable.
>>
>>56240278
Will do.

Have another question: Is the Microsoft Toolkit (2.6 BETA or 2.5.3) safe? It works, but I have a bad feel when deactivating the antivirus to use it.
>>
>>56235720
Is more quickly correct English?
>>
>>56237234
Works fine on Mint, no tearing at all, but compositing performance is worse with two or more monitors.
Screen compositing is one of the things Windows does right.

>>56237310
Fuck off m8, multi monitor works brilliantly on Windows, especially on 10 where you can add and remove additional monitors without even turning off the primary one like in previous versions.
