Because it's 70 fucking dollars. Sure it's nice but come on, that's ridiculous when there's plenty of other sensors that do just as well for less.
If anything, I'm either getting the Zowie or the Dm1 S pro as a replacement for my deathadder(not yet obvs, it's still in great condition)

they also gave the 303 to pros, they ended up being prone to sensor rattle in mass production, so I'll wait until others can confirm.

doesn't have the low friction scroll wheel that logitech owns the patent for
such a waste other companies can't make the same, and such a shame that otherwise good logitech mice are held back when they don't have it by idiots that still change weapon with scroll wheel

low friction scroll wheels are the biggest quality of life improvement since moving away from ball mice
it's far greater than even the standardization of front/back buttons

The Elecoms are probably the best ones being produced now https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0171QQ7IY/ they're a lot like the original MS Trackball Explorers that go for 200+ used on ebay

If you want used, trackman marble and wireless optical trackman are hard to beat (and of course the explorer)
>>
>>56235641
the logitech mouse isn't really supposed to be palmed, try a Mionix mouse
>>
>>56235660

If you can find one for a good price, get it.

Sanwa makes some good replacements, but they are cheap garbage compared to the Logitech and Microsoft Optical. The build quality is night and day.

Elecom another Japanese company like Sanwa makes decent trackballs as well, with better build quality, but terrible components. Crappy sensors, terrible budget oriented omron switches, but good functionality. They are smaller trackballs like the Logitech M570 though and not the big super comfy Trackman and MS Optical.

Guess things don't change much in the trackball world then. I'll try to get a Logitech again, might try wireless if it's AA/AAA batteries. I've had fairly poor luck with the integrated rechargeable battery offerings from Logitech.

Razer's product quality is such a shitshow. Some of them fall apart inside a year, others just tank along for a decade. Happy you got lucky, stay safe.

Honestly I find logitech's products to be reliable, but there are better alternatives to the g303 from the non-gaming logitech mice, or you might as well go up to the g502 for full meme.

But even if defective, I'd imagine it's still a well built but pointless product.

M570 is the best trackball on the market.

That elecom stuff is absolute trash.

But even so, the bearings on my M570 wore out pretty fast. After a year or two the ball does nothing but catch.

I am debating whether or not I hsould switch to a fingertip ball mouse.
>>
>>56238597

>M570 is the best trackball on the market.

Err... I meant best "thumb trackball"
>>

It's funny because the bearings on the elecom are superior to everything else out there. Except maybe the steel rollers in the CST L-trac. But that thing is ridiculous.

Hello /g/, I need a new mouse as all of the razer naga pieces of shits I've had have all broken within a year.

I have had 4 of those fuckers and they just don't last for shit, and I take good care of my gear.

I am looking for something stylish, none of that 'gamer' piece of fucking market garbage. Simple and minimalistic would be amazing.

I have looked at the Sensei Wireless, as I like the looks, and being wireless would be amazing to remove the clutter of the table.

Anyone got some opinions on different mice? That would suit what I am looking for, thank you very much my friends.
>>
>>56241169

>>
>>56235067

>>
>>56241307
I got the Rival because it fit the best in my hand and didn't look like a hardcore gaymur mouse if you turn off the LEDs. A lot of people even say that it's a modern intellimouse because of its shape and button placements. The only downside is the rubber grips on the sides do eventually wear down especially where the thumb is located. I think they upgraded the material though since the wear on mine after almost a year isn't as nearly as bad as the giant holes people got after 8 months. I hardly even care about the grip and just put a piece of electrical tape after it got smoothed out.
>>
>>56235340
>>56235424
This would be my main concern.
If I want to pre-order things it'll have to be for some limited edition anime figurine, not a mouse.

I'm using an MX Master with my desktop, by the way, and I feel no reason to get anything else.
So far I prefer it in wireless mode, and I wish it'd have a replaceable battery pack so I could swap it for a fully charged one when the battery's drained.

It'd be really cool if one MX Master came with two battery packs which could be charged from a USB port.

The only reason I don't have an MX Master for my laptop as well is because I don't really trust my bag to protect the mouse without an extra insert of some sort.

Please...

Genuine ruby bearings for longer life. And do you see how big they are? 2.5mm diameter. That means they won't get clogged with oils and dirt as easily as the M570 and glide much more smooth. It even has the same polling rate as the M570 at 125hz. With higher DPI and control over the resolution. The only reason to go with an M570 is because the battery life is fucking phenomenal.

Asus ROG mice are extremely over engineered, wonder why /g/ doens't really like them
>>

the only thing about it is the cable.

I'm not sure what you mean, if you're talking about the price, it's OP's mouse. If you're talking about alternatives, all those new mouses with the 3360 sensor (DM1 pro S, Nixeus Revel, Steelseries Rival 700, CM mastermouse pro L etc...).
>>
>>56246356
scroll wheel was recently updated and as for the other shit you said, it makes a good fps mouse.
>>
>>56246398
None of your mentioned mice can compete with the g pro

They are either
>2 heavy
>Got high click latency
>got bad build quality
>got bad firmware
>>
>>56235067
>find a flaw
Too much led shit. The logo led can stay, but the line across is too much

>zowie still the best
>>
>>56246414
yea "upgraded" from 24 to 16 notches.
worst feeling scroll wheel ever.
>>
>>56246449
You can simply disable it and the settings are being saved on the onboard memory.
>>
>>56246472
So is it driverless too?
>>
>People go on and on about MUH CLICKS, MUH LATENCY, MUH SENSOR, MUH RBG LEDS, MUH CABLE
>Instead of actually talking about the shape which is the most important factor in a mouse

Never change fucktards.

DPI doesn't make real difference after 2000, and most pros play at low dpi anyway for extra precision

The sensor of a optical mouse is pretty much like digital camera, so FPS does make a difference, because the more fps it has, the faster you can move the mouse before it loses track

But even FPS comes to a point where more, doesn't make a difference because you can't move the mouse that fast.

And BTW, for you idiots thinking that a 9 million DPI mouse is better, that's not even real DPI. anything past 3000 dpi is interpolation
>>
>>56246484
Yes it saves EVERYTHING on the onboard memory so you just set it up once and can remove the software.
>>
>>56246501
>And BTW, for you idiots thinking that a 9 million DPI mouse is better, that's not even real DPI. anything past 3000 dpi is interpolation

Lol no. Many sensors have a high DPI without interpolating. The 3366/3360 can use raw 12K DPI.
>>
>>56246505
Thats pretty nice, i'll admit it.
I'll keep an eye out and compare it to the ec-2a, or whatever the successor will be when i need a new mouse.
>currently using an ec-2
>>
>>56246527
You should check this out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc7JVjcPzL0
>>
>>56246546
I also had an ec-2a. Sadly the scrol wheel started making squeak sounds while scrolling.
>>
>>56246505
Thats not driver-less you very special and unique individual
>>
>>56246575
No mice is driver-less you very special and unique individual. Show me how your mice will interact with the OS without.
>>
>>56246432
And you know that having tried all of those mice and compared them to a mouse that isn't even out yet? Stop shilling.
Besides the DM1 and the nixeus have the same weight, have good build quality and decent firmware on top of low latency (see Zy review).
I own none of these, I just keep an open eye and I fail see why it's worth twice as much.
>>
no retractable cord
I'm not sold
>>
>>56246527
>The 3366/3360 can use raw 12K DPI
No way. Source?
That could be useful on 4k monitors. On HD monitors would be pretty much useless though
>>
>>56246658
>And you know that having tried all of those mice and compared them to a mouse that isn't even out yet?

No, but reading spec sheets and reviews on OCN which is much more precice than Zy reviews.
>>
>>56246246
Hope the ratchet does not break on the scroll wheel within a week like on the 3 I returned (2 from Amazon 1 from a local retailer). There is a design flaw on it. Good luck!
>>
>>56246701
Then you should know the DM1 has equivalent specs and good review on OCN, same goes for the Nixeus apart from the mixed build quality from early adopters.
In any cases, we'll see how the pro fares the 10th.
>>
Who knows a chink priced mouse that's surprisingly good?
>>
>>56235067
it's not the MX518 shape, but I'm intrigued. I might pick it up when/if it comes down in price, but I really hope they make an MX518/G400 like this
>>
>>56245461

was it a v2 or v3? I have the v1 and its one of the best mice I've used and I've used plenty.

Dm1 Pro S as well, if you look on OCN even a dream-machines rep admitted it has smoothing.

This may not be a popular topic on /g/, but I play a lot of MMO's and use the hideous piece of shit in pic related, simply because at the time I bought it, it was the only mouse with mechanical side buttons.

Do you guys have any mice with 6 - 12 side buttons that are mechanical and not cheap spongy feeling shit? I hate how this fucking thing looks and it's driving me nuts, but it does the job so I haven't bothered with anything else as of yet.
>>
>>56247270
It was actually an intentional decision and I have no idea why.
>>
>>56244619
Yeah, I think it's a great mouse. matter of fact the best one i've used
>>56244659
Not sure what's so good about the MX Master, but what I dislike about it is the back and forwards buttons.
When I read about it most of the advertised features seemed to be in software, which is not really something I care about, since I'm not going to install and run an application just to use a mouse.
>>
>>56235428
because im using a g400s

Pre-ordered mine for 52 Euro today. Along with a G900 for 117 Euro.

Gotta love a 35% rebate coupon. Paid less for both mice than I would originally pay for the G900 alone.

Different sensors but they are both perfect tracking right?

>>56246356
I'm glad I can finally hear someone comment on this. Out of all the reviews i've read on this mouse before buying, not one of them had mentioned this literally unusable scroll wheel click.

really trash

Currently using a shitty Corsair M65 (not as comfortable as I expected for claw grip) because I pulled aside my Logitech G9x in anticipation of selling that thing in a couple years for a hundred bucks or two after the supply dwindles some more.

How dumb of a decision is that?
