SD801 was horribly underperforming for a 1440p screen, battery life was worse than my Nexus 5, and in 3 months somehow the battery charging ic burnt out

Screen got really hot, battery stopped lasting even half a day, sluggish, whenever the phone was in bright light it would turn the backlight basically off and render the phone useless. Maybe I was unlucky but it wasn't a great experience

im the guy that bought one 2 years ago. if you are a normie that will use it with the stock rom, you might like g3.
what i didn't like most was the fact that the stock rom was bloated and the battery didn't last much since it was the first phone to come out with a quad hd display.
aosp roms on the other hand could not handle the camera and some other stuff well since lg drivers could not run on them.
check xda developers to see if stock based roms got better in time and decide.
