I'd consider getting it if the 6GB version were $200. I'd also consider the 470 if it were $170 as promised.

Not really. The 1070 is pretty overkill for 1080p. The best value is the 1060.

Not necessarily for 144+fps.

Price/performance both the 1060 and the 480 are better than the 1070.

That being said if I could get a 1070 and a 1440/144 27" Gsync monitor for under $800 together I will. Don't see that happening for a bit though.
