i am having a problem and i wanted to see your opinion,,,i just bought a wifi network card for my desktop, and also, id never install the correct chipset drivers on my pc, i just found out were to get the factory ones for my motherboard.
Well id always had a warning in the device manager about "pci simple communitions manager"(or something like that) driver, that is in not installed properly, but, it never gave me any issues, I had a pci gen3 video card and worked fine,,,,but,,,,i think this driver is for the other, "old" pci, like the network adaptor one,,,
the issue is,,,,i installed the card, the system recognized it, i install the driver, no problem, apparently, to windows, everything is fine, but the card is basically not working at all.
it is obviously cause of my bad chipset drivers? its not a defective card?.
now...what do you think is the fastest way to find out...i was thinking that the "good" way to do things would be to wipe my pc clean, reinstall OS and correct drivers....
but i am a lazy fuck....do you think there is another way?
