Same here, lad. Congratulations. I am doing CCNA Security next. Already got the official cert guide. I am starting to look for jobs as well, but I have no experience in IT. I got one interview so far, but I was too autistic and they didn't call me back.

besides of CCNA. Do you have nay college degree in IT or something similar?
>>56216102
No. I was doing a AA degree at a community college, but they go too slow and the core of the program was 4 quarters of preparing to take the CCNA R&S exam, so it was a waste of money and time. Just gonna collect certs and try to get experience in the field. From what I am told, experience & certs is more useful than a degree unless you wanna work for the government or you want to be a manager.

thanks for the advice.
Now, i live in a third world shit hole. How hard is to get a good paying job in the US or any decent country?
>>56215537
How hard is CCNA assuming I'm B average student?

it really depend how interested you are in this stuff.
i was a philosophy student with 0 experience with networking.
It really help me the CBT nugget, wendell Odom book. And for the last weeks prior the exam i start practicing using 9tut and VCE dumps.
Taking all that, in 6 months or less you can become a ccna

start getting to know other vendors, cisco is leaning away from hardware.
it is much better to understand networking as a whole and generic cli needed than to concentrate on one vendor and hope you can find a cisco shop when you need it

any idea for my next step? Should i get a linux/unix cert or something like that?
