>You mean another ETA-2824 clone.

The Soprod A-10 is actually an ETA 2892 competitor/replacement base on the Seiko 4L25 movement but it is produced entirely inhouse at Soprod including escapement and hairspring.

I'm honestly surprised he doesn't wear a iron sand folded 1000 times snow frake seiko.
Genuinely.

I have to ask though.
Was this taken at the Olympics?
Because omega are making all officials wear the omega gift watches
>>
I am going to be brutally honest here, and because of this you guys are going to call me a shill for Steinhart namely the O1 Titanium 500. I hate the idea of homage watches, which is why I never purchased the sensible OVM. Don't get me wrong, the OVM is a great watch, its a great Rolex replica that is very high quality but it's still a replica.

The T500 is Steinhart moving away from their status quo and this I commend them on. Sadly its fucking ugly(to me) which is why I will probably never buy it. Value wise, its a winner I've also been hearing many praises for the T500.

-Soprod A10-2 Top Grade - great movement, used in watches in the $3k-$4k range. One in particular is the Sinn T-1. Sinn also never listed the grade of their movement, another reason to respect Steinhart, their honesty.

-they put all of the hallmark features of a luxury watches into the T500(sapphire, ceramic bezel, super luminova) the T500 has it all!

What I love most about the T500 is its Steinhart coming into their own as a Luxury/Premium watch company. The T500 is a risk, sure they can keep making OVMs which already sells like hotcakes in the new/used market. But they wanted to finally emerge as their own brand, something that is very brave on their part.

Now go ahead and call me a shill, without trying to refute what I said. Because its the truth, and you guys are fucking children with your elitist attitudes.

Agreed, its a great watch. The looks might not be everyone's cup of tea but it grows on you. I just wish there was a yellow or red version. Overall quality wise its equal to that of a Rolex Submariner, the $7000 difference in prices is just for the Rolex name/badge. I've owned a Sinn T-2 as well, compared to the Steinhart the Sinn is garbage.

Fair enough most omega watches look old.
I want to say he should be representing a country and the pinnacle of their production, driving in a v12 Toyota limo and wearing credor or grand seiko.
But let's be honest he should also be allowed to be himself and I'd he wants to wear his dad's omega then so what.
Whilst i was a little surprised, i guess i can understand.
>>
>>56205122
I just don't understand why though.
We got 3 trip fags a namefag and about half a dozen anons and we all shill the same shit to each other.
It's not like it's the right market for a repro shill to go all out and sway the 10 of us.
Seems like alot of effort for not much gain

Alright /g/uys, I need a new watch but I need it to imply my nerd level. To me a good accessory says something about you, which is why I've been wearing pic related for about two years.

Problem is, the battery died recently and upon popping the back off to swap it, I was VERY unimpressed with the internals. I think I need something legit, but I need it to look somehow nerdy.

Whatcha got?
>>
>>56206291

The kind of "nerdy" you seem to be looking for is all cheap garbage. If you want a legit watch then stick to legit watch manufacturers. Casio, Timex, Orient, Citizen, Vostok, and Seiko are all decent entry level brands.

Well, fashion is probably a bigger hobby of mine than watches. I wouldn't reccomend getting a "nerdy" watch, but if you must, have a look at Casio calculator watches, yuppies are getting about with them trying to portray a nerd image, might as well copy them

Elektronica 5 is another option, maybe even an obscure raketa or Vostok with something funny painted on the dial, there are some good ones around

Not bad for the price. The single one was just under $80 and the double one is $90. Both of the Chiyoda brand. 8 pre-set speed settings. The only issue I had was that the angle wasn't steep enough to wind my King Seiko 5246, which I solved by flipping the thing on its side lol (how it's sitting in the pic, the default position puts the watch at <45 degree angle). I have it set at ~1,400 TPD and rotate my 6 watches for 12 hour "sessions" on and 12 off each 24-hour period not worn (so about 700 TPD - just slightly above the maintenance for most watches).

Maybe before you start heaping praise on them, you should wait for them not to have every design element on any watch they made which isn't a copy of another design be laughably hideous and amateurish?

Features
Atomic timekeeping, the most accurate watch in the world
Titanium case and bracelet, 42mm case

Assuming this is not a troll, yes I have about 1.5 years ago.

It took about two or three weeks before I got my 44mm handwinding pilot.

Its hueg but my wrist is 7.5 inch so it looks okay on me I guess.

Nothing too special but I love winding up the watch in boring meetings.

Okay, so I know more than 95% of you gayboys wont like this post but this is for like the five people that had or were interested in buying a Casio OutGear SGW-100 watch.
Pros:
- its accurate. It gained maybe two seconds in two months.
- its really 20 bar WR. Well, at least 10BAR since I went scuba diving with it
- its almost as durable as the fabled dw5600 it survived some seriously weird situations
- the compass and termometer are surprisingly accurate
Cons;
-the beeper on the alarms/timer lasts only ten seconds. Not enough to wake me up after a whole night of browsing dealextreme
- the stopwatch only goes to 1 hour.

So all in all, after six months Im quite content with this 50$ twin sensor casio. Thank you and good night

Alright, I'll just make it a watch recommendation request:
- under 38mm
- classic dress style similar to Orient Soma or Bambino 3
- Automatic
- White/off-white or blue dial
- SS case
- leather band or easily replaced with leather band (i.e. no prorietary lugs or unusual lug-width, if on bracelet).
- will consider vintage if can recommend reputable seller that sells them serviced and regulated ( +/- less than 20sec a day).
- under $150

They're the telltale elements of cheap crap.

See if you can translate the dial and hands of an Orbis Morgan Explorer II or maybe a more round Patek Aquanaut

Hey guys, could you recommend me a watch under 50$ that would work fine for a few years? would like it to be considerably small because I'm a manlet. I don't see myself spending more for a watch right now as a student, but would really like one since I got used to one in army so badly, the Casio F-91W, which just broke down after 2 years. I don't really mind if it's digital or not. I see alot of students wearing those Daniel Wellingtons, that get a lot of dislike on the web since it's literally the brand that costs right? Well wouldn't that mean I could get a cheapo chinese ones that has the same quality (and maybe looks) for a lot less?
>>
You can get chinese DW for like less than 5$, it's shit, it feels cheap and will probably shit the bed in half a year, basically the real deal
For 50 and less you can buy most simple Casios and even a Seiko quartz that would last for years, only changing the batteries every 2 or so years
Probably stick to Casio, they have a catalog on their site, look for something you like
>>
>>56222839
You can get gen DW watches on the chinese fleabay for $40
But they are huuuuuge
>>

Is there any specific you could recommend? Also I'm an EU fag which should be considered with shipping..

guys I need help, I'm in love with pic related, but it's 130 euro (150 $). My question is : is it worth it? or can i get something similar (style and colors) for less? I'm pretty poor and I'm not sure I can afford it .

Shitty watch I bought from Thailand at a market for 100 baht (£2). Needed it as my sekonda strap broke when swimming and kayaking in a lake, and I left my speedy at home. Ticks incredibly loudly, and the chrono dials are painted on. Kek.

Lasted the remaining 3 weeks or so of my trip after my other one broke though. So not bad.

Seiko. Orient at that price. Don't buy quartz and watches that look like shit and that will make you look like a faggot like fashion brands.

How? It's perfectly normal to see number in 00, 01, 02.. form

I like to keep the spaces for all numbers equal so I opted for 2 digits for all to maintain that.
>>
>>56225740
>It's perfectly normal to see number in 00, 01, 02.. form
The 0 serves no purpose at all, no efficiency, that's why it triggers OCD.
You don't have OCD if you can't see that.
