whats your favourite ganooix editor, /g/? everyone talks about emacs and vim, but what about other editors?

ive used kate for a while, but recetly its been playing up for me, so i was thinking about trying something else out. nano is pretty comfy, but its not as convenient as a gui text editor for some things. i kinda miss a lot of the features i have on visual studio, and was considering giving VS code a go.

Sublime
>>
I use nano mostly since I just edit system configs. For the GUI editor I use Scite.

There is only one text editor and his name is vi.

I used Emacs for a long time, but I started showing symptoms of RSI. I am switching between neovim and emacs with caps lock as left control. I'm really starting to like neovim, especially cursor control.

OP here, vs code is actually kind of neat

I need a text editor for when I SSH into my schools server. Kind of like Nano but preferably coloured.

vim fits that requirement.

Emacs has really good support for editing remote files, if that's what you need.
>>
I like brackets but its shit desu but at least its free. Fuck sublime, i am not paying for that shit
>>
Emacs for everything

Does anyone have any recommended packages for Vim? Also was a good package handler? I was using Vundle but I would prefer something with very minimal learning curve. I ain't really got the thyme to spare, ya know?

use neovim instead of vim. they function the same, but neovim is a lot newer and has a lot better plugin support.
