What technology will let me create a daily schedule on my PC, that I can then access from my phone and change as needed?

Google Calendar is comfy and just werks.
But I'm looking for an alternative to avoid the botnet.

Sounds nice. Google seems like the best botnet if you are going to join one.
30 boxes
MS Outlook
CalDAV

Nextcloud/owncloud is a bit overkill for calendar as the calendar part is secondary and thus breaks very easily.
Radicale is a more focused project which only does calendar (and contacts) which I personally find much easier to maintain.
How does /g/ feel about free OwnCloud providers?
https://owncloud.org/providers/
How is OwnCloud in general? Does it have a webUI?
Any OwnCloud users here that sync their calendars on Android?

Use nextcloud. Owncloud is taken over by the jews.

Yeah, I spent a couple of hours messing around with this stuff.
Got an OwnCloud account from a free provider.
I wasn't able to make the calendar sync with SolCalendar on Android, so I just gave up. According to OwnCloud the calendar support is experimental and low priority anyway.
I'll probably try with NextCloud at some point, but it seems that right now they're still pretty much the same since it's a fresh fork.
But if anyone is using the calendar with syncing on Android let me know.

You'll need a caldav sync: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=caldav%20sync&c=apps

In addition to SolCalendar?
Because SolCalendar says it has CalDav support and has the option of adding a server manually.
