The best thing about this is no heat sinks.
Voodoo 3 most powerful GPU on the market.
>that heatsink
This is just me but can anyone that actually understand these things tell me why in the early 00 and late 90 they didn't just make huge ass coolers like we do today?
I mean it used to be like 400W power supplies were standard.
Today I have a 1000W Power Supply for my SLI 970 and i7 3770...
Why not make a TNT 2 Riva clocked 3 time as much slap a big cooler on it?
>>56187510
faster clock speeds and larger dies afaik, and games being fuckhueg and not being as optimized as they were a decade or more ago
>>56187529
No I get that we have that today...
But why didn't they do it back then? Even the P4 that were "hitting the thermal limit" came with this shit...
Yeah but what prevented them for using the small dies that had and "OC"ing them to say 2 times their base clock and slapping on a cooler much like todays.
Did they think it was impossible to cool or something?
I remember back in the day I read in the PC magazines once we start hitting 4 Ghz you're gonna need liquid nitrogen and shit to cool your CPU!
Menwhile 3.4 Ghz pentiums used these flimsy shits.

Hey guys just got this V6 Mustang, what can I do to make it more powerful?
>>56187592
having more GHz doesn't translate in drawing more power. CPUs have become more efficient over time. as for why heatsinks are bigger today than two decades ago... maybe the thermal limits were different. maybe it's just the general trend of much bigger cases compared to back then, more space for a bigger cooler, market demand increasing the amount of companies releasing yet another "bigger and therefore better" CPU heatsink.

nah there's no tracks in that piece at all, that's the lip that clicks into that locking thing but this board is really small. it's harmless

I worked at a place that was open space, but we had huge spaces between us. Like 20 feet or so.
Not fucking 1 feet.
>>56188015
this desu.
Why would anyone buy the V6, oh god.
>>56187592
For example Intel CPUs before Sandy or so could be only OCd if you disabled all power saving features. Now you can do it and still have HT.
Nanomachines, son.
>>56205301
So? It literally works.
It'a simple solution for normies.
Preparing/booting Kaspersky/NOD32/Bitdefender live is not that simple.
>>56203261
> when that guy blew up his GTX and used that custom power board for the card, holy shit.
I forgot what it's name was.
Literally a board with power supply components that you kinda solder to your GPU and this allows for better OC (due to higher power draw).
>>56205218
well it is a very simple encode? lol
>>56187503
I love how people get mad at computers not realizing they are the problem. Like hitting the monitor and keyboard.
>>56187503
sssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooo
satisfying.
when shit is slow, doesn't work, frustrating beyond belief. and you can just smash it to bits, hearing it crack and dent and screatch, feeling the swing hit following by seeing the object of your frustration smash... it's like the matrix, or god, or whatever, makes you mad just so you can smash it.
women perfected this art for better sex millions of years ago. you can see it in fossils of smashed pelvises
>>56205945
>So? It literally works.
>Selling software available for free on a 2 dollar hardware for a huge markup
The ink on the box probably costs more than the drive itself
While i didn't know it was used to boot live, it means that normies have to use the scary boot menu, which is not much harder than just removing malware by yourself.
>>56206150
Well I guess it would run by itself, and have no boot menu. It's still easier than:
1) searching for a legit link
2) downloading iso
3) finding a drive that has enough space
4) cleaning drive with diskpart in CMD (LOL!)
5) running the tool
6) BUT WITH ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS
7) Finding ISO again
8) Find the right target
9) Wait until it finishes
10) Make sure to safely remove
11) Then, only then he can boot it.
I mean those are big fucking 10 steps a normie would 99% fail. Now if you add that up, son, I have some bad news for you.
>>56206195
Ye, i just assumed it was a portable antivirus instead of running on boot.
Looked around tho, apparently it's not THAT good and uses kaspersky.
I mean, i guess it's better because it runs before the malware so it's not slowed down.
Really makes me glad i know how to do this stuff, saves tons of cash.
You exaggerated a bit on those steps tho, rufus is literally
>select drive
>select iso
>burn
Then it's just literally what they sell in that box
