Hey, as a long time Apple user im currently looking into switching to an android phone and a PC.
My current Mac is the Macbook Air 13. (1.361$)
But I found this PC.
Acer Aspire E5-575 15.6.
Inten Core i3 6100U 2,3ghz
6GB DDR4 2133hz
256GB SSD
Intel HD graphics 520
For 487$
So whats the catch? Is it that it comes with Windows 10?
How can it outmatch the macbook air on specs, but be so much cheaper? The Apple Tax cant be that high?
acer saves money to make for poor build quality
what's the battery like, as well? probably small.

Its says it has 7-8 hours of normal use. (Obviously browsing.

Found your problem.

Acer is absolute dogshit, but anything will outperform a Macbook Air. As with any Apple products, you're paying for aesthetics.
Though, my main gripe with Acer shit is their terrible bios. Up to you on the build quality.

I would actually like a computer that I dont have to be as careful with. But offcourse we all appreciate great build quality.

>macbook air or Acer Aspire
tough choice. You clearly like burning money, ut are you ready to just start throwing money in the trash now too?
>>56185541
Too bad applel's """""""""""""""""""great"""""""""""""""""""" "build quality" actually means "throttles and overheats worse than Acer shit".
>>56185552
Ok. So give me a recommendation
>>56185541
Well considering it's cheaper, of course you won't feel like as much of a tard for dropping the thing as you would a $1,000 piece of metal.
But I wouldn't buy that thing, you can probably find something much better for cheaper. An i3 is not a fantastic processor by any means.

yeah. that's with edge, as well. apparently it does well with power consumption.

thinkpad. pic related.
about $2-300 more for an X260. 15hr battery. linux support as good as it is for Skylake.

>Acer
Expect that to brake down in a few months

there are services that allow you to ship anything internationally. Borderlinx is the one I know of. an extra $50 or so.

might need a VPN too, to access the NA EPP store.
